Echoes of Tradition

The core philosophy behind this design was to step away from generic, modern dining aesthetics and fully embrace a 100% authentic Moroccan identity. I wanted every guest walking through those intricately carved doors to feel as though they had been transported into a grand, festive gathering.

It was an incredible opportunity to blend functional restaurant design with rich, cultural storytelling, resulting in a dining space that doesn't just serve food, but serves an unforgettable experience.

The Caidal Celebration Tent

If you look closely at the walls, you will notice the striking green and red geometric silhouettes. This is a direct nod to the traditional Moroccan celebration tents (often called Caidal tents) that are historically erected for weddings, festivals, and grand feasts.

Instead of just painting the walls, I integrated this iconic tent pattern into the very architecture of the room, infusing the space with the joyous, welcoming, and communal spirit of a true Moroccan celebration.

Sacred Geometry & Crafts

To ensure the space remained entirely faithful to its roots, I focused heavily on traditional craftsmanship and sacred geometry. Classic Moorish hexagonal star patterns tie the entire room together, flowing from custom-built wooden dining tables to the intricate wall panels.

A classic marble water fountain sits at the heart of the space, providing the soothing sound of flowing water—an essential element of traditional Moroccan interior courtyards (Riads) that provides acoustic tranquility.

Warm Lighting & Textures

Ornate brass chandeliers cast intricate shadows across the room, bathing the guests in warm, golden light. Rich, natural wood textures contrast beautifully with the vibrant reds and greens of the Caidal wall patterns.

This balance of light and dark, polished brass and matte plaster, creates a cozy yet grand atmosphere that invites guests to linger and share.
